our valentine's baby

we apparently are good at having children near holidays (isaac- st. patrick's day, beckam- christmas, new baby- valentine's day), we have made no exception for this new one. i am due on valentine's day, and isaac could not be more excited. isaac was the official announcer to all our family he called and told everyone we were having a new baby, it was coming out on valentine's and invited all to come and visit for the holiday. he also would explain to anyone confused that there was a new baby in moms tummy and that he had seen the baby move around at the dr's office earlier in the day, and how exciting it was. needless to say we are all excited, and don't even dare to speculate on gender.

we made it

here are the boys (very unwillingly i might add) showing off our new house. not the best pictures ever but all i could get with the subjects and the lighting. we are loving our new house, ward, and job. we have been swimming with the play group in the ward 3 times already. the boys also love their new playroom. i'm trying figure out what to do with all the new space, but i'll figure it out. sam is enjoying his new job, which makes me very happy. and we bought a new car which is very nice for the 3 of us that used to be stuck at home. overall things are going well. we of course miss everyone back in utah which i will always call home, it has all of you and our mountains. we think we may just be alright here though.

moving to houston

the boys did awesome driving down. it took us three days, the first of which we stopped and spent some time in durango, co. isaac thought the train station there was pretty dang cool. the next day we stopped at carlsbad caverns in new mexico. none of us had ever been there, it was lots of fun, but we have to say if you are looking for some caves to explore we like some that we have seen just outside of san antonio better. so come here instead and we will take you to see those if you are itching for some damp, dark exploring. the next day we drove into houston and luckly were able to crash with some friends we have down here for a few days (thanks again!!!)

We're not that old

Apparently I really want to live in California. Sam fixed the time zone, it is really 11:40. I just didn't want anyone to think that 9:40 was really late to us. We're old just not that old.
