Yes, Isaac was right. We are having ANOTHER BOY. It's getting late and I need to help Sam get the boys to bed but I figured if I didn't get something on here I would get in trouble pretty quick.

Dad and Isaac throwing rocks, what could be more fun. Sam even taught me how to skip rocks this trip, after watcing the master for years. I wasn't too bad either.

Yes, we finally went camping this summer. Sam took his Friday off this week and we made the long drive to find a little topography. It took 5 hours to drive to our camp area north of San Antonio. And then we backpacked in a couple of miles to our camp spot. I carried Beckam and Sam had the pack with all of our stuff in it. Besides the stuff that was in Isaac's backpack. He carried his and Beckam's extra clothes, well most of them. We took our two man tent, two camp pads and 3 sleeeping bags, since we had to hike in. So need less to say we had an awesome time! Even with the long car ride there and back, the rough night (pregnant lady and beckam, plus isaac and dad all in our 2 man tent), and all the nice road rash isaac incurred while having to get himself up and down the hills ( I just can't call them mountains). Isaac said the best part of our trip was throwing rocks. Which we did almost constantly the entire trip, besides the driving part. We threw rocks while hiking, we threw rock at the imaginary monsters near camp, we threw rocks in every bit of water we could find and down every hill. Beckam even tried to throw himself down a few hills which is always exciting. Thanks for taking us camping dad. We can't wait to go again. I did tell Sam that next time we are car camping with our 8 man tent, porta crib, and air matress. Atleast while I am still pregnant.

Happy birthday to me...

we only lost power for 4 hours in the morning. There was no church because there was no power at our chapel. Our power came back on along with the a/c!! I watched Pride and Prejudice. And best of all my mom made me a big birthday dinner. (Which she then had to clean up with the water from the storage jugs, what a pain!!)

Look how wet I am now mom!

Playing in the fountains at our local mall. Since the hurricane has come the weather has been nice. But this was the weekend before and it was hot and I'm afraid we will be getting back to more of this weather soon.

Our Ike Update

We are all great. We had an exciting night trying to decide how to get the boys to sleep and when things were going to really hit. I got to hear lots of it because I was trying to sleep on a twin mattress in the laundry room with both boys. It was loud, you could tell there were some strong winds and lots of rain. We had a few windows that let a little water in, but no big deal at all. And since we still have power the most major thing that happened was part of our side fence fell down in the backyard. So we have a nice walk way to the neighbors now. All in all we are in a lot better condition than many in the Houston area, and are very thankful for that. It is still a little rainy and windy and our biggest problem now it that we are getting kind of bored. We took some pictures last night and will take some more today and will get those up soon.

HURRICANE IKE

Yes we are still in Houston. Yes we are staying here. And yes my mother did fly in on Wednesday, so lucky her, she gets to check out this hurricane thing with us. We are ready. I've been talking to others around us who have more experience with these kind of things than we do, and it sounds like we will be fine.

Oh one last thing before bed

We are going to find out what we are having, didn't mean to give anyone a scare. Especially my quilt making mother. I am just a little more nervous with it being our third and only having boys so far. Some days of the week I really want one over the other but lately, I really am not sure what I would prefer. So I'm feeling a lot better about the 25th and am just excited to find out. So we will let you all know.

My darling Beckam is to put it nicely not the cleanest eater. I usually try not to deter him too much if he is actually eating and save that for when the food flinging starts. Sometimes it is just dumping and spilling. Sam removed the spaghetti from off his head before these pictures where taken. Sometimes I wonder why I don't have time to get the whole house clean. But at moments like these I realize it is because I spent 42 percent of my day cleaning the kitchen, 8 percent picking up the rest of the house and the other 50 percent chasing the boys around. Sometimes these numbers do vary like sometimes I feel like I spend 89 percent of the time cleaning the kitchen and 89 percent of the time chasing after the boys, but I know this doesn't add up. I just don't get it. All I'm sure of is that by the end of the day I am sure to be worn out, and hopefully still have a semi clean kitchen. It would make my life a lot easier if it could just stay clean for a little longer without all the work, but it never seem to happen. Oh well, I'm going to sleep now to gear up for another exciting day at the Hudson's home.

Labor Day Weekend

We bought the boys something to share at the toy store beckam insisted on carrying it unassisted in any way, all the way to the car by himself. As you can tell we weren't close to the car. But as you can see he was quite pleased with himself when they finally made it to the car.

We were planning on going out of town up to Austin with some friends this Labor Day weekend. But with the hurricane we decided to stay home and hang out instead. Luckily for us we saw no sign of the hurricane and are still just as hot here. Sam even took that Friday off so we would have a 4 day weekend. So instead of Austin we....



On Friday we drove all the way up to the Woodlands. Mainly to get the boys some new sheets from PB kids. (They really need to open on in La Centerra but I won't hold my breath.) We had the rest of a PB gift card to spend(thanks to Sam's aunt and uncle). We ate lunch at PF Chang's. And walked through lots of stores we even went over to the Market Street shopping center and that is were Beckam's purchase came from.

On Saturday, what did we do on Saturday. Oh ya we spent the day getting things done around the house. Sam got the kayak hung up in the garage the drapes hung up in the family room and the boys mobiles hung in their rooms. All thanks to the ladder the Griffeth's let us borrow, we will bring it back. We also watched the end of the U football game, which they won. And had a late dinner at Chick-fil-a.

On Monday we went bowling which was Isaac's choice. We all had a ton of fun, sorry no pictures. And then that evening we went over to a friends house and had a bbq, swam, jumped on the tramp, and played on the swing set. Needless to say the boys had a ball, what a fun backyard. We have lots of work to do on ours.
