thank heavens!

Truman's cord fell off a few days ago and yesterday I finally took a few pictures of him without it. Why you ask am I telling you this, just so I can tell you how funny Beckam is. Beckam absolutely hated the umbilical cord on Truman's belly. He would tell me every time he saw it no me like it and look very concerned. I told him every time it would fall off soon. It even got to the point that he would have to move away from him so he couldn't see it when I would be changing Truman's diapers. I thought it was hilarious. So when it fell off I knew Beckam would be thrilled. It took him a little while to realize it was really gone, and now he says Truman's belly is like his, much to his relief

a few more pictures from the hospital

Our sweet little baby Truman.

Beckam was totally out the first time my mom and the boys came to meet Truman. So he crashed for a while on dad's temporary bed. Then we woke up really ornery, wasn't so sure about the whole thing and left to go to dinner with everyone but mom and Truman. The meeting the second day went much better and to date I don't think there is anyone in the world who could consistently show more excitement about being around Truman then does our little Beckam. He gets so excited when Truman is awake. He yells Truman's awake and then runs and gives him kisses on the head and asks to hold him. I'm always surprised at how long he will sit and hold him it's so cute.

Truman and Nana.
I can't tell you how nice it was to have my mom here to take care of the boys while we were at the hospital. She unfortunately was sick the whole time she was here and so tried to be really careful around Truman and not hold him too much. So far it seems like she did a good job at being really careful because none of us seem sick.

Beckam on day number two deciding he liked this whole little brother thing.

I still can't quite believe we have three little boys. It makes me feel tired and blessed at the same time.

Another one of the few picture we got with Nana and Truman. She'll be back with my dad in a couple of weeks and hopefully everyone will be healthy so we can get more pictures.

Dad and Truman. Sam was great to hang out in the hospital with me. I know it kinda gets boring sometimes especially when they give you nausea medicine not too long before you have your baby and it knocks you out for the whole rest of the day.

Mom and Truman right before we left to go home.

cutie

Just a few cute pictures of Truman, in one of the few outfits he has that doesn't look huge on him, all thanks to his future sister-in-law. I am glad that so far this one likes the swing.

We love President's Day!

So this is a little late in coming but I've been a little busy lately.
At our house the holiday to celebrate this time of year is Presidents Day. This year was the 9th anniversary of our first date. So since my mom was around on Monday Sam and I went out for gelato to celebrate. (I know we are crazy exciting, but it was also my brand new babies one week birthday so give me a brake.) It was so nice to just sit for a few minutes and get to talk to Sam. (I'm starting to wonder how much we will get to do that in the next little while.) It made me think of the last 9 years and everything we've done and all the places we have been. It's crazy how long ago 9 years is and how incredibly recent it is at the same time. Time Flies when your having fun! It made me realize how blessed I am to have 4 wonderful boys that are mine, and how I better enjoy every minute of it. So hopefully every time it gets a little crazy the next little while with three very little ones at home. I hope I will remember the advice President Monson gave us this last conference and realize how much I really will miss all the toys everywhere and the backed up laundry and my boys being this little when it's all gone.
Happy President's Day!!

Nana went home

We dropped my mom off at the airport today. I'm just hoping we will survive without her. I know my dad and brothers needed her back, but it was so nice to have her here.

Beckam keeps telling me she is at home depot, and when the boys need something they call for Nana first and then have to switch it to mom.

Isaac has been making plans for a while now to have my sister move here and work with himself and Sam all together in his office at work. He has now expanded this to include Papa. He says they just need to take our computers from home and find a few more chairs. I think it sounds great.

My mom is like wonder woman when it comes to projects. Every time she visits I have more fun things she has made at my house. One thing she has done is made quilts for all my boys when they were born. Here are a few pictures of Truman with his...

Thank you for everything!! We already miss you tons! I love Truman's quilt!

A whole week old

Truman just shortly after turning a week old. Which meant these pictures were taken right around noon. He's on his third outfit of the day. He may have been clean for a whole 5 minutes after giving him a bath before he spit up all over. I guess that's just how it goes some days.

3 crazy boys. Isaac and Beckam absolutely adore their new little brother. They like to give him kisses and hold him whenever they get a chance.

What goofs.

Beckam and Truman

Beckam seems so old and huge to me all of the sudden!! He even seems be talking a lot more lately, like all the time.
Truman went in for his check-up on his one week birthday and they said he is looking really good just still a little too yellow. So we will be back to the dr. on Wednesday to see if he's getting more or less yellow. Hopefully less!

Happy Valentines Day

This is how little Truman spent most of his Valentines day.
Trying to look a little more pink, but mostly just looking pretty yellow (yellow).

He's finally here and he has a name.

Sleeping in the sun.

My brothers can't get enough of me...

Isaac is very helpful and is likely to rub all hair off Truman's head.

Beckam is really cute with him and is always saying, "wake up Truman".

I can't believe how much we already love this new brother. I can't imagine our family without him. He is such a sweet baby.

A few quick baby pictures from dad...

Hey everyone, we're still in the hospital until tomorrow afternoon, but I figured I'd get a few pictures up before bed. Here you go!

Rambling about my week. He's coming tomorrow!!

The boys are on the way home from picking my mom up at the airport. And Sam will be happy to know I did almost no cleaning at all while he was gone. We are going to the hospital tonight at 10pm. So I thought I'd write a little about me week just for me to remember later on. Tuesday I went in for what I thought would be my last appointment before having this baby. I was measuring small again and had lost 2 pounds(which I personally was totally happy about!). So my Dr. had me have an ultrasound while I was there. The baby looked good and was measuring right on, but me fluid levels were a little low. So they told me to pay attention to baby movement and come back for another ultrasound on Friday. If the baby was not moving he told me he would probably just send me to the hospital. So all week I've been a nervous wreck for a few hours a day when I wasn't sure if he was moving enough. But when I would stop and pay attention he always seemed to be fine. When I went in on Friday the baby looked great and my fluid levels were a little better. He had also gained 7oz. since Tuesday, much to my dismay. So now I am just hoping that he hasn't gained another 7oz. in the last few days, and I won't end up with a huge baby. I'm just glad that were finally to this point and little no name will be here tomorrow! By the way I can't believe that Sam and I are going to have 3 kids. I love my boys so much, and am excited to have another one.

Huntsville State Park

We've been wanting to go back to Huntsville State Park ever since we went. So when a co-worker of Sam's invited us to go with his family we jumped at the chance.
First we went on a hike:

Beckam took a nap on dad's back. I guess all that crying because he wanted mom to carry him wore him right out.

One of the rules we now live by is always hike with your light saber.

Dad ended up carrying both boys at the very end of the hike after Isaac had a run in with a bush of some sort.
Then we had a picnic lunch:

Playing in the freezing cold water:

The boys didn't sit to eat very long and so the dads took them over to let them run around on the dock by the boat ramp. I went over to check on them at one point but it was making me nervous I was sure someone was going to fall in so I decided I'd rather not watch and went back to eat more. Not long after that the boys left the dock and were playing on the boat ramp. So then I knew someone would be wet soon. Next thing I know Sam shows up with Beckam fully dressed and soaked from head to toe. It was a nice day but there was a cool breeze so he was freezing cold with all his wet clothes on.

Nicholas*Isaac*Beckam
It didn't take long till he was back in the water though. Little boys seem to have little to no true sense to temperature. Well at least when it comes to the cold.

Dumping the water out of Nicholas's borrowed boots. The boys decided these boots gave them much better traction for running around in the water. They had a ball.

Riding bikes, Playing at the park, etc:

Really who needs a dog when your kids will fetch sticks for you. This totally confirms it for me we never need a dog!

Checking out the local ants. There are so many ants here it is crazy. They're not nice ants either. I've had more ants bite me since we moved to Houston then I ever had the rest of my life combined easy.
Thanks for planning another fun Saturday for us dad. Next time we're taking the kayak!
