on the brighter side

i went to my dr appointment today heard the baby's heartbeat, and scheduled my next appointment which will also include an ultrasound to find out what we are having. honestly i'm not sure how i feel about this. a little apprehensive is my best description for now. i'm just not sure if i'm ready to know. but i do have until september 25.

HOW COME NO ONE EVER TOLD ME...

that if you change your background you are in danger of deleting lots of you stuff. Yes I am obviously new to this. I just wanted to see what a new background would look like. Next thing I know I am redoing all sorts of stuff. The main problem with this is being pregnant and all(just my current excuse) I can't remember what it was even like 5 minutes ago or how to get it back that way. So if anyone has some good new comer tips I'd like them now thank you. If I change it again will this keep happening??

Did you know...

...it rains in Houston? True story. It's been raining HARD lately, but so far we haven't lost anything or anyone down the storm drains. So far. Isaac was out enjoying his new raincoat the other day, and Taryn took some pictures.

Sorry for the recent inactivity on the blog, the olympics is seriously monopolizing our time. In a good way, though, we've really enjoyed watching them. Isaac loves the synchronized diving and Beckam loved the gymnastics. Volleyball has been cool, track and swimming were good, we like it all (just like everyone else, I'm sure). Here are a few pictures of the new house Taryn took the other day. We'll put more on sometime soon. Still have some boxes around, but getting there...

surfside beach

we made it our to the beach on saturday. isaac now keeps asking when we are going again. we had lots of fun in the sand, dad made a cool castle. it reminded me too much of nielson's frozen custard, and made we want to start making a list of places i need to not miss when we come home for thanksgiving. sam and isaac had lots of fun an the skimboards, and just playing in the water. the water is just so warm which makes it really nice to play in.

First real lawn mowing ever!

as you can tell by the time we got to the backyard and realized we should be taking pictures of the momentous occasion it was dark. but the show went on. dad mowed the yard mom, isaac, and beckam sat on the back porch and cheered him on. the boys had to take a few snack breaks but we all made it through our first lawn mowing experince. (we did have to borrow the neighbors lawn mower because we do not have our own yet, good thing we have great neighbors!)
