We've been wanting to go back to Huntsville State Park ever since we went. So when a co-worker of Sam's invited us to go with his family we jumped at the chance.
First we went on a hike:
Beckam took a nap on dad's back. I guess all that crying because he wanted mom to carry him wore him right out.
One of the rules we now live by is always hike with your light saber.
Dad ended up carrying both boys at the very end of the hike after Isaac had a run in with a bush of some sort. Then we had a picnic lunch:

The boys didn't sit to eat very long and so the dads took them over to let them run around on the dock by the boat ramp. I went over to check on them at one point but it was making me nervous I was sure someone was going to fall in so I decided I'd rather not watch and went back to eat more. Not long after that the boys left the dock and were playing on the boat ramp. So then I knew someone would be wet soon. Next thing I know Sam shows up with Beckam fully dressed and soaked from head to toe. It was a nice day but there was a cool breeze so he was freezing cold with all his wet clothes on.
Nicholas*Isaac*BeckamIt didn't take long till he was back in the water though. Little boys seem to have little to no true sense to temperature. Well at least when it comes to the cold.

Dumping the water out of Nicholas's borrowed boots. The boys decided these boots gave them much better traction for running around in the water. They had a ball.
Really who needs a dog when your kids will fetch sticks for you. This totally confirms it for me we never need a dog!
Checking out the local ants. There are so many ants here it is crazy. They're not nice ants either. I've had more ants bite me since we moved to Houston then I ever had the rest of my life combined easy. Thanks for planning another fun Saturday for us dad. Next time we're taking the kayak!
