inks lake, on the most gorgeous day ever...

yes we went on another "trip", and yes you may end up lost in the middle of it forever. what can i say photography is a weakness.

we arrived on a saturday and stayed till monday. and especially with it being earlier spring and an abnormally cold texas year we were one of the few. so we had our pick of a whole lot of camping spots. we picked by location (proximity to areas in the park), parking access, and seclusion. i was very sceptical about grass camping we've never done it before and i've never been all that thrilled about the idea of it. but i have to say we chose a great spot. the boys could walk a few steps and throw their poles into the lake and fish. truman took naps while we took turns paddling the boys around the lake. and the grass, well nothing could be better with a one year old!! i didn't have to worry about him in the dirt and by cactus and rocks like other spots we have camped at here. we just let him roam all around our site it was great! the weather was absolutely wonderful on sunday and we even got a tiny bit sun burnt, awesome. we rode our bikes, hiked, fish, played at the park, the boys played in the water, paddled a canoe, and had snacks out back at the park store. it was a great day.

sam took this picture of the crazy cool morning fog.

You are such a good woman. I just cannot camp. Camping is for boys and...deer.
I love the great photos you got.
