the top 5 things i learned at gator fest:
#5- being a little redneck every once in a while is good for you.
#4- smoking is totally in if you are a cowboy or girl living in small town TX.
#3- carnies are totally scary, enough said.
#2- reaffirmation that it would indeed be cool to have a gator hanging over you guests as they walk into the entry of your home.
#1- funnel cake is, well it's AWESOME!!

a large slippery, wet, metal anchor, enough said.

we all got stickers that said, "i touched a live gator at gatorfest".
(including squirrel)

we chose gator-on-a-stick.

it wasn't too bad.

Sam surprised us all with a by planning a trip to gator fest, this Saturday. I had a baby shower in the morning then as I arrived home I was told to put on a pair of jeans and was handed my cowboy boots. The boys were all sad that I was the only one in the family that actually owns a pair. We hopped in the car and made the rainy drive to Anahuac, TX. It was pouring but that didn't stop the gator hunt nor the fest. Luckily it did stop after a while which made it so we didn't have to carry our umberellas anymore, but didn't save us from the mud.We all had a great time, thanks dad!

anything you could ever want on-a-stick.

Cute boots and gator fest looks like a cultral experience. Wow!
What a fun birthday, way to go Sam. The gator the boys held was neat looking, but how come Mom and Truman got the biggest gator?
Happy Birthday Taryn. Sorry we didn't get to talk to you. The pictures of the gator on a stick almost made me throw up. (Most things do), but I thought I might have to run to the bathroom for a moment.
Addie wants to know if she can come next time and have Sam tape shut an alligators mouth for her. She also wants to eat one if she can spit out the bones.
Happy birthday Taryn! I liked how they had duct tape holding the mouths together! lol, scary! Was that really alligator on a stick? I guess anything batter dipped and deep fried is good.
You know you are a Texan when you go to the gator festival in Anahuac!
