we had been hiking for a while and beck was getting a ride i guess isaac decided he need a little help as well.
we kept thinking beck was calling his new find his licorice, but finally figured out her was saying neck-a-lace, after all. we had to keep pulling on it so it wasn't choking the kid.

as i was loading these pictures sam was putting the boy to bed. i could hear isaac up there telling his dad how much he loved him and that he was the best dad in the whole wide world. sometimes it's just great to be a parent. he'll often tell me the same thing when i'm telling him goodnight, i love it.

he even talks if you push a button. we'll be relocating him to another cache.
we let the boys play over at the beach for a minute before we left. the sun was going down and it was getting a little chili.
we took advantage of one of the last days of beautiful weather. sam took the day off, and after a morning parent teacher conference for isaac (he's doing awesome!!). we headed up to huntsville, yes one of our favorite spots. this time we even did some geocaching aka "treasure hunting". we had tons of fun. we even stopped by the woodlands on the way home for a yummy dinner and a quick look in a few shops.
