a friday with dad

our day at the zoo
we had to park a little ways away from the zoo because 1/2 of houston's school systems were having their field trip at the zoo day.
it made it so we were able to check out some of the really cool surrounding park area that we've never seen before.

rocks in the shoe.

sun in the eyes.

they even have their own washington monument with the pool and everything.
here begins your very long tour of the zoo. don't fall asleep in front of your computer. sorry, digital cameras what can i say. you wouldn't believe how many i didn't post.

isaac loved his map. he would get it out and we would check it and chart our way to the next destination.

isaac said these were some of his favorite. they were pretty funny cute little monkeys. the mom even had a tiny one on her back.

just taking a little break.

these 3 little monkeys were hilarious. they were picking bugs off each other. isaac thought they were funny kissing each other.

"rodents of unusually large size"

just having a little lunch. we weren't going to the zoo when we left the house this morning. we weren't exactly decided on were to go. so when isaac suggested the zoo we though sure, why not. unfortunately since it was not a planned venture we ended up eating less than wonderful, but very expensive zoo food.

i had to take this picture so years from now when i'm telling beckam how weird he is i'll have years of pictures to back me and my stories up. he is peeling his hot dog and eating the skin, ewe.

look at the lion.

this guy is our favorite, he's an okapi.

water stop

this giraffe had the coolest spots.

crawling through the tunnel surrounded by fish. sam took this picture, the flash went crazy.

on your mark - get set - go !!!

dad had to go on a field trip today to a well site so yesterday he took the day off to spend it with us. thanks dad we had an awesomely fun day.

It seems like hitting the zoo is all the rage these days! We must be missing something! BTW - You're a fantastic photographer - you took some great shots! LINSEY
