back to school-"it's here, the first day"

{i accidentally deleted these two pictures from the middle of my post and they don't want to go back there.}

he was excited and so was i. we got up, made his bed, ate breakfast, got dresses, brushed teeth, read from our children's scripture book, sang a song, snapped some pictures, and said a prayer. all before we hopped on our bikes to take him over. isaac decided he wanted to ride his bike to school. so i follow with beck and true in the trailer. {beck is alright with trailer riding because he had been put in charge of truman and the garage door opener.} we convinced dad to come with us for our first day. we rode to school, locked up his bike, and filed in the front door amongst the large crowed to drop him off at his class. his teacher came out to give him a hug and welcome him to school as well as getting a picture. then we all said our good bye gave him big hugs{truman made sure to get his hug from mrs. harper too.} and then waved good-bye. we started walking out and beckam had to go to the bathroom so we checked out the school bathroom, and i ran back for one last look, picture, and wave. i did tear up a bit on the ride home but knew he would have a great time. we all went a little nuts with him being gone. beckam and truman were competing for my attention the whole day. while truman was taking his nap beck helped me make some cookies for isaac, and we worked on this special first day of school dinner{bbq pulled pork on rolls, cheese fries, watermelon, and chocolate milk}. we finally got to go pick him up and we even went early to make sure we would be there for him. learned our lesson there. it's still insanely hot here. true and beck were just big puddles of sweat by the time isaac made it out to us. 1/2hr in the sun will do that to you. we were the last walkers/bikers to leave the school that day. we finally made it home with 1/2 melted children, and had some cookies. we finish off the night with dinner. followed by family night, bathes, and a game of lord of the rings risk{after we put truman to bed, much safer that way}.

isaac said he had a great time at school. he said they didn't get to go out to recess cause it was too hot so they just learned the rules. he also is not a fan of p.e. thus far. he said they told him they would play games with balls but all they did was a dance. he was not impressed. he says he is surrounded by girls at his table but that other boys are helping him surround them as well. he decided that he wanted to try school lunch and has informed us that he loves it and never wants to take a lunch to school{even though he missed out on the grapes.} he has several new friends, and told us he saw the other isaac 4x, and payton 3x. it seems like he had a great time and told me when we met him at the cross walk that he was excited to go back tuesday.
